Economa is currently in public beta. This page summarises how we handle your data today;
a full, formal policy will be published before the product leaves beta. If anything here
is unclear, please write to info@netrails.net.
Who we are
Economa is developed and operated by NetRails, an independent software studio based in Italy.
The data controller for the purposes of GDPR is NetRails — contact:

What we collect
- Account data: the email address and password you sign up with.
- Financial data you enter: wallets, transactions, categories, recipients,
plannings, templates and anything you add to the app yourself.
- Receipt images: when you share a receipt for scanning, the image is sent
to our server and to the AI service that extracts the data. Once the operation is saved, the
image is not retained by us.
- Technical logs: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps)
kept for a limited time for security and debugging.
What we do not do
- We do not connect to your bank or fetch data from any financial institution.
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not use your financial data to train machine-learning models.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union, in a database dedicated to
your account. Backups are encrypted.
Third-party services
- Exchange rates are fetched from public providers (e.g. Banca d'Italia, CryptoCompare, Fixer).
- Receipt images are processed by a third-party AI provider strictly for the purpose of
extracting the transaction data. No long-term storage occurs on their side for our requests.
Your rights
You can access, export or delete your data at any time from the app, or by writing to
info@netrails.net. Under GDPR you also have the right
to rectification, restriction, portability and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Cookies
The marketing site uses only essential storage for language preference. The application uses
first-party storage to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics
are embedded in the site at this time.
